Help Machiah’s House expand while deepening your knowledge in the foster care system! We seek dedicated individuals that actively seek internship/field placements. If you are a MSW, MPH, MSS or MSSP student interested in supporting a growing non-profit, please explore our internship tab to learn more. Help MHI stay on brand through seeking out, developing and spearheading programs and special events. If you have a passion for non-profit leadership, and event planning, please consider applying for our newly established Outreach Program Coordinator role. Become an Outreach Liasion (multiple needed)
Reporting to Project Coordinator I & 2, The Community Outreach Liasion volunteers serve as the bridge between Machiah’s House and the community. OT help develop meaningful partnerships, increase community engagement, and support programming that advances MHI’s mission of promoting wellness, education, life enrichment, and positive relationship building for youth who have aged out of care and individuals experiencing housing insecurity. to learn more about the Outreach Team please explore the dropdowns or select the link below.
Become a Mentor
A caring adult is often the key to changing a young person’s life. This is especially true for youth aging out of the foster care system.
Are you passionate about mentoring young people and helping build the confidence of a young woman in need?
To get started, please complete our volunteer application below. Once your application has been submitted, individual volunteers, or one representative from each volunteer group, will be required to complete a background check.
Note: Mentors are expected to meet with their mentee virtually and/or in the community, as well as to plan and participate in fun and engaging social activities and provide consistent support and encouragement. This is a volunteer position. Select the dropdown or link below to learn more.
