THE MACHIAH'S HOUSE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

About:

Machiah’s House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area that serves young women ages 18–24 who are aging out of the foster care system. As we work toward establishing ourselves as a short-term living program, we remain committed to staying active in the community through life skills workshops, youth mentorship, community partnerships, and program development initiatives. Machiah’s House seeks MSW, MSS, MSSP and MPH  interns who are interested in advertising, research, administrative support, case management, youth mentorship, life enrichment programming, and nonprofit leadership.

How It Works:

Selected interns will work one or more hours per week on projects that further the Machiah’s House mission through virtual and/or in-person collaboration with staff and volunteers working in the foster care community.

Intern responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Research
  • Grant writing assistance
  • Social media management
  • Fundraising initiatives
  • Event planning
  • Administrative support

Students interested in child welfare, youth services, and women’s studies are strongly encouraged to apply.
