ABOUT US:

Each year, approximately 24,000 American teenagers in foster care turn 18 and are expected to begin life on their own. Many are still in high school, without stable housing, employment, or reliable transportation. Without the love and support of a family to fall back on, these young adults often struggle to meet basic needs and find their footing as independent adults.

Machiah’s House was founded to change that story.

Our mission is to establish and fund a residential group home that provides a stable, nurturing environment where young women aging out of foster care can grow, heal, and prepare for independent living. This home will be a place of consistency and empowerment where residents receive guidance in education, employment, financial literacy, and emotional wellness.

We envision a structured, therapeutic setting where every young woman has access to caring mentors, professional support, and meaningful opportunities to build confidence and life skills. Once operational, the program will be supported by a compassionate team of staff, social work interns, and volunteers committed to helping residents reach stability and self-sufficiency.

To bring this vision to life, we are actively seeking financial partners, sponsors, and donors who share our belief that every young person deserves the chance to thrive. Your support will help us secure the property, furnish the home, and launch essential life-skill programming that paves the way for lasting independence.
